![]() One student claimed on a reddit forum that he or she could not attend class that day because he or she was not able to cross the creek or go through the blockade due to a disability. These groups (QARC and bridges) took it upon themselves to decide which students were disabled enough to be allowed through the blockade. How is such obstructionism not bullying? Both of these are important student services on the campus.Īdditionally, students were blocked from going through Sather Gate, including students with invisible disabilities whose physical limitations may not have been apparent because they did not look obviously disabled. These groups said that they would disrupt the service of the student store and disrupt senate meetings until they got their way, in other words, they would stop the student government from conducting its business, and stop a third party from operating, and until they got their way. Let me explain to her, and any others who cannot see this point, because self-examination leads to growth. ![]() She said they were very much against bullying. I applaud the senator who said "There’s a difference between holding folks accountable and bullying them." What amazed me is that a student from bridges spoke who could not at all understand how the behavior of these groups could be interpreted as bullying.
